Both meals were bland, and the avacado egg rolls failed to live up to our expectations. I honestly don't know why everyone comes here; perhaps they all believe someone knows something they don't.

Overall, for a quick getaway, it was a fantastic experience. There are numerous dining and shopping options. It's also a wonderful place to get some steps in after a large meal or dinner. It's true that things may use some upgrading. Power washing the sidewalks, painting some of the buildings, removing dead/overgrown plants, and a little additional elbow grease on the business's doors and windows will all help to brighten things up. For our daughter's birthday, we drove three hours to the American Girl Doll store. Our daughter had earlier written the store manager a letter, to which he graciously responded with a handwritten reply. She was overjoyed and couldn't wait to thank him in person. He took time out of his busy evening to talk with her and even allowed us photograph them in front of their beautiful Christmas tree. The area around this store was nice, and while we were fortunate enough to get a parallel parking spot at a meter across the street, there were no disabled parking spaces available. My husband could never have walked the distance required from the standard parking spaces due to an amputation and hip replacements. In addition, the traffic was horrible! But, since it was the Friday before Christmas, we may forgive it.
